Our house still has ceramic fuses — is that a problem?
It's not illegal to have, but it means there's no residual current protection anywhere on that board, and any new or altered circuit legally has to be RCD protected. In practice, almost every job we do on a ceramic-fuse home in Warrawee ends up including a board replacement, because there's no way to add a compliant circuit otherwise.
