What makes the Mid North Shore different
The Mid North Shore — the Willoughby and Lane Cove council areas — is a genuine hybrid, and it's the one part of the North Shore where that's true suburb by suburb rather than street by street. Chatswood and the St Leonards corridor are dense, high-rise strata precincts; Castlecrag, Northbridge, Willoughby and Lane Cove are still largely period houses on leafy blocks; Artarmon and Roseville Chase sit somewhere in between. We work all of it, and the actual job changes depending on which side of that line a property sits.
It's also the highest EV-ownership band on our whole patch. Willoughby LGA sits at around 5.02% of all registered vehicles being battery-electric — the second-highest residential council area in NSW, behind only Ku-ring-gai — and Lane Cove LGA is over 3.2% and climbing. That shows up as a steady stream of EV charger enquiries in both the house-heavy suburbs and, increasingly, in strata buildings around Chatswood, where NSW's 2025 strata reforms have made getting an owners corporation to approve a charger genuinely easier than it used to be.

Questions about the Mid North Shore
Do you work on both apartments and houses on the Mid North Shore?
Yes, in roughly equal measure. Chatswood and the St Leonards corridor are strata-heavy, while Castlecrag, Northbridge, Willoughby and Lane Cove are still largely houses — we're set up for both, including dealing directly with owners corporations and strata managers.
Why is EV charger demand so high in this area?
Willoughby LGA has around 5% of all registered vehicles now battery-electric, the second-highest of any residential council in NSW. We install and quote a lot of chargers here, in both homes and apartment car parks.
Can strata stop an apartment owner installing an EV charger?
It's much harder than it used to be. EV charging is now classed as sustainability infrastructure under NSW strata law, aesthetic-only refusals have been banned since 1 July 2025, and a simple-majority vote is enough to approve it.
Do you charge extra to travel across the Mid North Shore?
No travel surcharge anywhere in Chatswood, Willoughby, Artarmon, Castlecrag, Northbridge, Lane Cove or Roseville Chase. If you're outside that area we'll tell you upfront before booking, not on the invoice.
Do you handle heritage-sensitive work in Castlecrag and Northbridge?
Yes — it's a genuine specialty for us. Architect-designed and heritage-influenced homes need cable runs and switchboard placement planned around the existing design, and we do that routinely in this part of the North Shore.
